Copywriter – Web/Print Projects (Full or Part Time) Nelson, Lancashire £16,000 - £18,000 DOE (pro rata if part time) Plus 21 Days’ Holiday rising to 23 in year 3 (pro rata)
As a busy, established digital agency, our client has over 10 years’ experience designing websites, delivering email marketing programmes, and providing SEO, promotion and conversion works. An opportunity has now arisen for a Copywriter to join their Lancashire studio on a full or part time basis.
This role would suit a talented writer – someone with a way for words, great attention to detail and the desire to work on a range of projects.
As a Copywriter you’ll be responsible for creating compelling, readable and clear copy, with the aim of adding value to the agency’s web and print projects.
Initially, the bulk of projects you’ll be involved in are electronic, however the company anticipates that the next 12 months will see more print and marketing projects arise. Your focus however, will be on digital/web copywriting, with involvement in creating editorial and advertising copy, and SEO, keyword-rich text.
Your duties will include:
- interviewing clients to establish requirements - creating drafts and finished copy, highlighting USPs and including product descriptions - creating striking headlines and slogans - contributing to brand name generation projects - creating in-house marketing copy.
To be considered for this position, you must have proven copywriting experience gained either in-house or within an agency. You’ll also need to demonstrate exceptional English language skills, including flawless spelling and grammar.
In addition to an organised approach, as the Copywriter, you must have good MS Office and general Web skills coupled with a solid grasp of general marketing practices. Excellent communication skills, a self-motivated approach and a ‘can do’ attitude are also pre-requisites.
A degree (or equivalent) would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of using Wordpress, Joomla or a similar CMS tool.
